Why Clayton’s Mom Resides in His Closet On ’90 Day Fiance

Since the teaser for season 10, 90 Day Fiance viewers have called Violet Clark, Clayton Clark’s mother from Kentucky, “closet mum”.

In season 10, there’s a good reason why 90 Day Fiance’s star Clayton Clark’s mother, Violet, lived in his walk-in wardrobe. The first time 90 Day Fiance viewers saw Clayton was in the trailer of the 2023 version.

Clayton and Violet finally revealed her much-anticipated bedroom closet-turned-closet that fans had been longing to see onscreen for four weeks – something that fans had eagerly been waiting to witness live! The show introduced several couples to the viewers.

These included Nikki Sanders, AKA Justin, and Igor. Jasmine Pineda, Gino Palazzolo and Nick Seungdo. Ashley Michelle, AKA Manuel, and Nick Seungdo.

In episode 5, Clayton and Anali’s relationship made it all the way to season 10. Clayton, 29, is from Kentucky, and Anali, 26, is Peruvian.

Anali and Clayton met through a language app while she was studying English and he was studying Spanish. After a few months, they began to develop feelings for one another.

Clayton then decided to fly eight months later to Peru to meet her. Clayton proposed to Anali just four days after they started talking. Clayton decided to go ahead with the application for Anali’s K-1 visa, even though she had delayed her yes.

Clayton’s Kentucky Home: Two Guinea Pigs, Two Chihuahuas, and Mom

Clayton said he was concerned about Anali’s reaction when she saw his apartment. He shares it with five other roommates. The Lexington man introduced his two Guinea Pigs for the first time on 90-Day Fidelity.

They are named Baby Pig and Chocolate. He explained that guinea pigs make a special noise for each emotion. Clayton mimicked guinea pigs while revealing that he had two other pets at home.

“I have two Chihuahuas as well, Coco and Buster,” Clayton added. Clayton revealed his “last roommate” in the most shocking reveal of the season. Clayton calls Violet, Violet’s mother, “Mamas.”

Clayton’s Mom Saving for Her Own Place After Three Years

Clayton said that he lives in an apartment with one bedroom, while his mother lives in a closet. Clayton said that his mother lives with him to save money for her own apartment. Clayton and his mom have lived in the apartment together for more than three years.

Violet walked into the house, opened the front door, and saw the walk-in wardrobe. She thought, “Oh this is my home right here.” She described it as the “perfect” mother-sized room.

Violet thought Clayton was joking at first, but then she said, “Yes, this is me,” claiming the small storage area as her own.

Clayton’s Mom Struggles with Hoarding

Violet acknowledged that her living situation is temporary. It has been “a bit longer” than temporary. But it works out. Clayton admits that it’s hard to live with his mother because the space is limited.

Violet has a hoarding issue, too, even though Clayton claims it isn’t that bad. Clayton’s mother has “hoarding traits.” She has had a habit for years of holding on to things too long.

She doesn’t open many of the packages, including empty movie cases, plastic cups, bracelets, and earrings. Clayton said that “she’ll buy it just because it looks cute.”

Clayton does not have the space in his living area to install a dining room table. Clayton knows Violet’s strange collections have sentimental value, but he still wants to make sure he and Anali can live comfortably.

Even though Clayton has a storage locker, it is overflowing. Clayton is worried that Anali, who will be on 90-Day Fidelity to see how disorganized his mother and he are, will visit America. Clayton believes Anali will soon realize that she made a mistake when she arrives in America.
