Why Bilal’s ‘Prank’ On Shaeeda Is Already A Big Red Flag | 90 Day Fiance

90 Day Fiance Season 9 has just started, but already there are hints that Bilal Hazziez is going to be given a villain edit by fans.
This article contains spoilers about the premiere of 90 Day Fiance season 9. Please proceed at your own discretion!
Season 9 of 90 Day Fiance is now available. A mostly new cast will be able to share with the franchise’s fans their journeys as they go through the K-1 Visa process and all that goes with it.
The season premiere of “The Bachelorette” did not include any major developments or moments involving the relationship between Ariela Weinberg, Biniyam Schibre, and Bilal Hazziez.
The viewers may be a little upset with Bilal. He devised a prank to test his fiancee Shaeeda during her trip to the United States. Its red flag status increased as he revealed more details.
Bilal said during his 90 Day Fiance introduction (which will be available for HBO Max subscribers after the merger of Discovery+ and HBO Max is complete) that he lives a comfortable life, but never explained his financial situation to Shaeeda.
He even tried to hide it, so he would only have blank walls behind himself during Facetime calls to avoid revealing his lavish home.
This led him to reveal that he had rented both a van and a small house for one night to trick Shaeeda into believing he lived modestly on her first trip to the United States.
Bilal’s prank was to pretend to live a simpler lifestyle than he did. He thought it would be funny to first show her the set-up, then reveal later that he really didn’t.
He said that it would also help him determine if Shaeeda was here for the right reason and if she was a “gold-digger” or not.
We can all agree it was a strange coincidence when Bilal came up with this idea at the same time that the Joe Millionaire revival aired on Fox. It didn’t work out very well for anyone involved.
90-Day Fiance supporters may be tempted to wonder if Bilal is really spending so much money on an initiation. Shaeeda’s reaction is hard to predict. She may be astonished and think it’s all a joke, or she might be offended and accuse Bilal of guilt-tripping.
This stunt appears to have little benefit. It is difficult to know for sure. Shaeeda should take it all in stride and not panic, but wonder what else this man is capable of.
She may leave him if she finds that she’s turned off by his more modest lifestyle. Shaeeda, on the other hand, may not be concerned about Bilal’s financial situation but will feel hurt and betrayed if he does not tell her about his lifestyle.
After leaving all that is familiar to move in with a future spouse, no person wants to encounter deception as the first thing. It is cruel to play a joke on someone moving to a new country and starting a new life.
Shaeeda, however, may not be bothered by this. His idea could feel more like a joke to himself than a “gotcha!” moment on television. moment. I’ve watched enough 90-Day Fiance for me to know that the cast can always exceed expectations in both good ways and bad.
It’s also interesting to me whether the producers were encouraging Bilal to do this to spice up their storyline. Former cast members claim that decisions made behind the scenes have affected the way stories are played out rather than being organic.
This could easily surpass the scandal-ridden Season 5 cast of Before the 90 Days if it was Bilal’s original idea.
TLC airs Season 9 of 90 Day Fiance on Sundays, at 8:00 pm. ET. The season has already started off hot, and we can only hope the sizzle will continue with Ariela’s and Biniyam’s story in the later part of the season.
