‘The Family Chantel’ Which Couples Are Still Together ? Chantel, Pedro and More
The Family Chantel, Despite all of the drama, most of the couples have been able to stay together but others have split under the pressure of the constant fighting.
The Jimeno and Everett families have been at odds almost since fans first met them on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé. Their family feud was so intense that it spawned a spinoff, The Family Chantel.
Despite the drama, most of the couples have managed to stay together, but others have broken up due to the constant fighting.
Chantel Jimeno (née Everett) made her reality television debut at the age of 25. "I was interested in learning Spanish, and a friend introduced me to Pedro [Jimeno]," she explained back in 2014. Chantel said she was "attracted to him right away" after seeing photos of the Dominican Republic native.
During Chantel's first trip to visit Pedro in his home country, the couple fell in love and began dating long distance. "He proposed on the third trip," Chantel exclaimed, adding that he treated her "like a princess."
"I was hoping that we could live together in the United States, and the best and quickest option was the K-1 visa," Chantel explained, which would allow an American citizen's fiancée to legally enter the country if they married within 90 days of the foreigner's arrival.
However, Chantel was keeping her parents, Thomas Everett and Karen Everett, in the dark about her and Pedro's plans, and her parents had no idea they were filming for a show called 90 Day Fiancé.
"My parents are aware that Pedro and I will be living together, but they are unaware that we are engaged," she said in her confessional. "They believe Pedro is here on a student visa, not a K-1 visa, because the K-1 visa allows you 90 days to marry." My folks would freak out if they found out Pedro was here on a fiancé visa."
Her parents were taken aback when they discovered Pedro and Chantel's wedding arrangements. "Pedro is not in the country on a student visa." He is in the country on a K-1 visa. "The K-1 visa is a fiancé visa, and we're getting married on Thursday," she explained.
Things were so tight that Chantel wasn't sure whether her family would even show up to her wedding, but they eventually agreed to come— including sister Winter Everett and brother River Everett— but only if Chantel and Pedro signed a prenup before they married.

THOMAS AND KAREN
Thomas and Karen Everett married in Georgia on March 6, 1991. They had four children together during their marriage: son Royal, daughter Chantel, daughter Winter, and son River.
The pair is still together and has shared their secret to a happy marriage.
- "We've been married for 37 years, and we keep our love hot," Thomas exclaimed in his confessional on an episode of The Family Chantel aired in August 2022.
Karen demonstrated how they keep the flame burning. "We go on date nights all the time - every week!" she said.
JAH AND WINTER
Despite being a part of Chantel's narrative arc on 90 Day Fiancé, audiences learned more about Winter in season one of The Family Chantel. Winter had been dating Jah on and off for seven years, but his mother, Karen, and sister, Chantel, insisted on knowing more about him, so they hired a private investigator to look into his background.
The investigation's surprising findings revealed that Jah, who had already told Winter about his youngest kid, was concealing the fact that he also had an older child from Winter. It produced a sour patch in their relationship, but Winter and Jah ultimately reconciled.
Winter and Jah took the next step in their love and got engaged on Season 3 of The Family Chantel. However, shortly after their engagement, Jah recommended a lifestyle change to Winter as part of his faith, which resulted in their ultimate split.
"He posed a query to me. 'How would you feel if your daughter was in a polygamous relationship?' he said. Winter informed her family, who were taken aback. "'Why are you asking me this?' I questioned him."
'Do you want to be in a polygamous relationship?' And he said, 'No.' And at that point, I was just a little drained and bored of listening. Then he said, 'Well, you're not shackled!' You are free to leave!' Then he repeated it again, and I simply responded, 'OK.'"
PEDRO AND CHANTEL
When The Family Chantel returned for season 4, Chantel and Pedro's relationship had struck rock bottom. Chantel claimed that their marital problems began when they returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic, which resulted in a quarrel between Chantel, sister Winter, and mom Karen, as well as Pedro's mother and sister, Lidia and Nicole.
The pair had also passed through key life milestones, as Chantel had finally completed nursing school and was working in her area, the couple had recently acquired their first home, and Pedro had begun a new career working in real estate.
While it was supposed to be an exciting period in the couple's marriage, it appeared to be the beginning of the demise as they clashed about communication concerns.
Pedro stated that Chantel was not supportive of him and his aspirations since he was too focused on his career and didn't spend enough time with her.
Unfortunately, their marital problems had reached a dead end. According to records acquired by In Touch, Pedro filed for divorce on May 27, 2022.
MEGAN AND THE RIVER
River's season 3 plot on The Family Chantel was more preoccupied with his romantic life. He'd met Megan Montenegro and was completely captivated with her — so much so that he wanted to present her to his mother, Karen, and sister, Chantel.
Karen and Chantel were concerned about River's connection with Megan because of their five-year age difference and Megan's status as a single mother.
Unfortunately, these events contributed to Megan and River's divorce. Megan ended her connection with River because she thought she was not at a stage in her life where she could devote time to a romantic relationship.
ALEJANDRO AND NICOLE
Nicole was a major character in both 90 Day Fiancé and The Family Chantel, as she and her mother would frequently join up and compete against Pedro's wife, Chantel. Nicole had no love interest for the first several seasons, but that changed on season 2 when she presented her long-distance boyfriend, Alejandro Padron.
Alejandro was born in the Dominican Republic but relocated to New York City. They first met several years ago at a party with mutual acquaintances, but they reunited on Instagram and began dating in 2019.
Unfortunately, Nicole's mother, Lidia, did not like Alejandro after first seeing him since she believed he was not good enough for her daughter. Lidia's dislike for Alejandro became worse once she discovered that he was divorced but remained legally wedded to his first wife.
Despite the turbulence, Nicole and Alejandro continued to date, but their romance hit a snag when Nicole discovered Alejandro was texting other women on social media. Alejandro agreed to conversing with other ladies, but argued that their interactions were not improper. The turmoil caused the pair to temporarily separate in 2021.
Alejandro, on the other hand, made plans to return to the Dominican Republic in order to win Nicole back, and she finally consented to restore their relationship. Nicole became pregnant on the trip, but she had a tragic miscarriage a few weeks later.
Alejandro flew to the Dominican Republic to console Nicole following the loss of her pregnancy, and he also carried documentation that his divorce had been finalized.
Nicole was relieved that her mother would finally embrace him, so they returned to the apartment Nicole and her mother share to give the good news — but Lidia had not changed her opinion about Alejandro.
Nicole and Alejandro's relationship status is unknown because they don't share images of each other on social media. They do, however, continue to follow each other on Instagram as of August 17, 2022.
ROYAL AND ANGENETTE
Royal made his reality television debut on The Family Chantel's third season. Chantel's older brother had recently returned to Georgia after studying in Texas for several years.
Royal joined the program with his wife, Angenette, after returning to his native state, and the couple had just married a few months before shooting.
The love tale of Royal and Angenette was similar to that of Chantel and Pedro. Angenette and Royal met online and were in a long-distance relationship because Angenette is from Cagayan Valley, Philippines.
Following their courthouse wedding ceremony in the United States, Royal and Angenette documented their second, grander wedding and celebration in Angenette's homeland. Of course, drama erupted as Royal's family questioned Angenette's motives, believing she was merely marrying Royal to obtain a green card.
However, it appears that all has passed. Royal and Angenette had their first child, a newborn boy, in December 2021, and their family appears to have grown closer since then.
