The divorce of Chantel and Pedro Jimeno has sparked heated debate among The Family Chantel viewers, and many 90 Day Fiancé fans have strong feelings about Pedro feeling entitled to Chantel's income.
The most recent episode of The Family Chantel season 4 revealed Pedro's desire to divorce his wife and request half of Chantel's income.
Many fans of The Family Chantel are enraged at Pedro and perplexed as to why the working real estate agent should have any claim on her money, especially since they don't have children together.

Chantel and Pedro were once a 90 Day Fiancé franchise golden couple, having overcome family tensions to star in their own spin-off show.
Pedro's feelings for Chantel, on the other hand, appear to have faded between the third and fourth seasons. The Dominican Republic native appears to be annoyed by his wife and eager to end their five-year marriage.
Pedro met with a divorce attorney and discovered that because he has been in the country for five years, he no longer requires Chantel to apply for his permanent citizenship. He then decided he wanted half of her future earnings.
Pedro's divorce lawyer informed him that Chantel's financial obligation to Pedro does not change because she agreed to sponsor his K-1 visa and provide financial support.
According to Pedro's lawyer, Chantel must continue to financially support Pedro until he has been in the country for ten years.
According to the website of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, after signing an affidavit of support, "you accept legal responsibility for financially supporting the sponsored immigrant(s), generally until they become U.S. citizens or are credited with 40 quarters of work."
Because when Pedro appears to have a legal claim to Chantel's earnings, many The Family Chantel fans question the ethics of him demanding her future earnings.
Pedro stated that he feels responsible for Chantel graduating from nursing school and becoming a registered nurse, which means that he believes a portion of her earnings belong to him.
He even stated that requesting only half of her earnings was reasonable. Fans of Chantel and Pedro may recall the couple discussing a prenuptial agreement.
Though Chantel refused to sign a prenup on the show, it is believed that she did so to protect her inheritance. However, her assets and earnings from the marriage will almost certainly have to be divided with Pedro.
Pedro and Chantel aren't the only 90 Day Fiancé franchise couple to broach the subject of debt. Kalani Faagata considered her divorce options with Asuelu Pulaa and realized that her father, Asuelu's visa sponsor, would still owe him money.
Many The Family Chantel viewers, however, are enraged by Pedro's sense of entitlement. Pedro is a working real estate agent who can support himself financially.
Many The Family Chantel fans believe Pedro is being arrogant and out of line by crediting himself with Chantel's success and demanding her future earnings when he is fully employed.
