Deavan and Jihoon came to popularity after appearing in Season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Deavan and Jihoon met on an international dating platform, and he travelled to the United States to meet her.
Deavan became pregnant with Jihoon's baby during their first date, and she gave birth to Taeyang during the first season of The Other Way. Deavan returned to America after the couple divorced in season 2. She recently announced her and Jihoon's divorce.
When Deavan welcomed Taeyang into her life, she was a single mother to her daughter Drascilla. Deavan, who is five months pregnant with her third child with her new partner, Chris "Topher" Park, had a rough birth.
Jihoon was unable to be by her side and had to watch the delivery via video call. Deavan had an emergency C-section two weeks before her due date at 36 weeks. Because he screamed too loudly, the child popped two holes in his lungs. Taeyang ended up spending five days in the NICU. Deavan was by herself at the time, and she spent her entire hospital stay sitting in a wheelchair next to her baby's NICU bed, holding his hand.
Deavan, who lives in Salt Lake City, wanted to be open with 90 Day Fiancé followers and share her "most vulnerable and saddest time" in her life. She revealed on Instagram that she is overtaken with sadness and devastation, while also stating that Taeyang was recently diagnosed with "childhood cancer, b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia."
Deavan sent Taeyang images from his hospital bed. The brave kid has already endured many surgery and has just begun chemotherapy. Deaven described her situation as "every parent's absolute worst fear." Taeyang went to the ER numerous times before a physician told them he had cancer cells, according to a GoFundMe website launched by Deavan's mother. Deavan and her family are hoping to raise $50,000 to support their living expenses.
She's working hard to stay strong for Taeyang, Drascilla, and the baby in her tummy. Taeyang, according to Deavan, will require 24-hour hospital care. It will be a "two-year" process. She did, however, remark that the technique has a high success rate of "complete recovery in five years." "I'm still digesting everything," she continued, "and I'd appreciate your prayers, please."
90-day Deavan then begged supporters for help, asking if they knew of any kid cancer support groups or resources. "I'm totally beside myself right now, and my heart is torn," Deavan added, thanking her friends and supporters for their good vibes and strength. According to TMZ, Deavan attempted to contact Jihoon about his son's illness, but he has blocked her and her family's phone numbers, emails, and social media accounts.
Deavan has sole physical custody of Taeyang. Jihoon had last spoken to Taeyang when he was 13 months old. Jihoon does not appear to have paid child support to his son. Furthermore, Jihoon did not contact Taeyang on his third birthday in April. Fans are reaching out to Jihoon on social media, but he is not responding. Meanwhile, Deavan has the full support and prayers of 90 Day Fiancé fans, who have seen Taeyang evolve right before their eyes as he embarks on his rehabilitation journey. Fans are hoping that Taeyang will be able to return to full health soon.
