Sophie’s diagnosis could have been based on symptoms like abdominal or pelvic pain. There are many complications that can occur, including torsion or rupture, infection, or cancer.

Surgery Saved Sophie’s Life

Sophie stated that she would have died had doctors not found the cyst in time. If the teratoma has spread or is cancerous or has a high chance of cancer, doctors may suggest surgery to remove it.
