After their 90 Day Fiancé appearances ended, Paul and Karine Staehle were frequently in the news owing to social media drama and legal issues, which have kept them in the public eye.
Things appear to have escalated even further recently, as Paul and his three-year-old son, Pierre, were reported missing amid the father's custody troubles. Following the shocking news, Paul resorted to social media to express himself and tell his side of the tale.
Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers first caught wind of the situation when Paul and Pierre appeared on a since-deleted bulletin posted by Missing People In America.
Authorities told TMZ that the report was filed by Lousiville, Kentucky, CPS officials, who had already taken Paul’s 16-month-old son, Ethan, from his mother’s house. Paul posted about the situation on social media, calling the situation sad (via John Yates):
Paul finally reacted to the media, stating that he was not missing but was on a business trip with his eldest son, Pierre.
The 90 Day alum added that he has been traveling between Pennsylvania and Florida in search of job since early June, and that he brought Pierre with him because his son has separation anxiety. Paul also stated that he expects to return to Louisville as soon as possible and that he or his parents hopes to obtain legal custody of his children shortly.
Karine, on the other hand, does not appear to have been with Paul since at least January 2022.
Karine, or perhaps someone speaking on her behalf based on the wording, addressed the issues in a since-deleted Instagram Stories post (via John Yates). According to the statement, she is now doing what the law requires of her in the circumstance and will speak more about it on social media at a later point.
As of this writing, no specifics on what prompted CPS to remove the couple's children from their care have been made public. Fans, on the other hand, are fully aware of the worrisome and startling things Paul and Karine have posted about each other in recent years.
Karine claimed in previous police reports that her former partner sexually attacked her, while Paul accused her of attempting to kill him by placing glass in his meals.
Given their legal issues, it appears unlikely that Paul or Karine will return to 90 Day Fiancé for a second season. Hopefully, the two will continue to cooperate with authorities, and this unpleasant situation will be resolved in a way that ensures everyone's safety and well-being.
90 Day Fiancé, one of many series on the 2022 TV schedule, airs on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. To watch Paul and Karine's seasons, you must have a Discovery+ subscription.
