Naked and Afraid XL: Frozen: Discovery Channel Reveals Launch Date for New Survival Series

The franchise of Naked and Afraid continues to grow. The Discovery Channel will release Naked and Afraid: Frozen later this month after Shark Week.
This new survival show will feature 12 former winners who will travel into the freezing Rocky Mountains to attempt to survive for fourteen days.
Discovery Channel released a press statement that revealed additional information about its new survival series.

terrifying adventure.” In conjunction with SHARK Week’s 34th anniversary, a new chapter of NAKED and AFRAID: SHARKWEEK34 will be released. FROZEN premieres on Discovery Sunday, July 31, at 8 pm ET/PT.
Twelve of Naked and Afraid’s most experienced and popular All-Stars face sub-freezing temperatures and hypothermia in the icy Rocky Mountains.
They will spend 14 days and nights in this frozen wilderness. These survivalists have survived the sweltering heat of Africa, the infested Amazon, and deadly snakes from Southeast Asia.
They must face the toughest challenges to become franchise legends. Will they survive the winter challenge and make it to the top, or will they get iced out by the end?
The Rocky Mountains in Montana, with their wind and snow, will test the endurance of these top survivalists. The Naked and Afraid Survivalists will need to have knowledge, teamwork, and mental toughness in order to survive.
Survivalists will be divided into four teams of three and given no food, clothing, shoes, or water. They only have primitive tools, raw materials, and the minimum amount of raw materials necessary to survive in the frozen tundra.
The stakes are higher for these survivalists, even though they have been through many challenges before.
The survivalists are up against some of North America’s most dangerous animals including grizzly and mountain bears that have just woken from hibernation.
NAKED & AFRAID: FROZEN will feature some of the most popular characters from the Naked and Afraid series, such as Jake Nodar and Gabrielle Balassone. Also, three All-Stars of the current season of NAKED & AFRAID, Rod Biggs, Trishbulinsky, and Waz Addy.
