In this week's episode of Little People, Big World, Zach Roloff, 32, takes on a weightlifting challenge that's a little out of the ordinary.
Zach Roloff is making a big impression at the Hardcore Barbell Weightlifting Competition.
His wife Tori Roloff and children Jackson and Lilah watch as the 32-year-old Little People, Big World star does out three power lifts: the bench press, deadlift, and back squat.
"I'm really focused on the squatting," Roloff, who is also the father of a newborn kid named Josiah Luke, says in an episode clip provided exclusively with PEOPLE.
He continues on to indicate that in the competition, which will be judged by three people, he plans to squat 385 pounds.
"If I pull it, I'll have smashed the record by four pounds," Roloff says. At least two of the judges must approve the lift for it to be successful.
"It's remarkable to observe people carry that much weight," Roloff's stepfather Chris, who is married to his mother Amy, says in the video.
"I'd like to see someone Zach's size as well." "It's considerably more impressive now," Chris remarks. "That has to send a good message to Jackson, that size isn't important." And Zach is a fantastic role model."
"I heaved that thing up, and I was thinking, 'This is heavy!'" recalls Roloff of the back squat.
"That's all I could think about," he says. "I'm wondering, 'Do they have the appropriate weight on?'"
"I really hope Zach achieves his goal today so that he can leave here feeling good about himself," Tori says in the video.
Once the lift is complete, Roloff turns around to see two white lights, signaling his victory.
"I was pretty stoked," he says as he high fives Jackson. "This is the climax of a lengthy journey of working out to get here." "I was ecstatic!"
Little People, Big World airs on TLC on Tuesdays at 9/8 central.
