Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, the producers of The Bachelorette, have promised that season 19 would be unlike any other season. Gabby and Rachel became friends while competing for the heart of Missouri native Clayton Echard on The Bachelor season 26.
While Gabby and Rachel made it to the final three, Clayton eventually selected Susie Evans, and the two began dating after the show.
After the final rose ceremony, Gabby and Rachel's friendship reached a new level when Clayton revealed that he loved both women and had been sexual with them both. Fans liked the girls' passionate hug and support for one another.
To the pleasure of Bachelor Nation, Gabby and Rachel were introduced as the future leaders of The Bachelorette at The Bachelor finale. Their season creates franchise history by being the first time the program had two female leads side by side for the duration.

Gabby and Rachel said in a recent interview with ABC News that season 19 will be unlike anything Bachelor Nation viewers have seen before. Gabby added that because both ladies are leads, the process would begin with them dating the same set of men and the tale would "write itself."
Rachel went on to say that viewers should expect a lot of twists and turns during the season, adding that it will be something completely unique for Bachelor Nation.
Furthermore, Bachelorettes Gabby and Rachel emphasized that many aspects will remain the same, such as rose ceremonies and weekly dates. While many fans were concerned that the season's format would set the two ladies against one another, they assured viewers that this was not the case and that they were still best friends.
Previous previews stated that the ladies will greet each suitor together on the first night, and it has also been rumored that each lady will still have the opportunity to go on four local dates, resulting in twice the fun.
