‘Black Panther 2’ First Trailer Reveals Marvel’s Emotional Return to Wakanda and War With Namor

Marvel brings fans back to Wakanda with the first trailer of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” The trailer alternates between images of Wakanda’s aquatic settings, futuristic tech, and what appears to be a funeral, complete with Wakandans dressed in white. It ends with the lyrical theme “We’re going to be fine,” from Kendrick’s “Alright.”

The teaser raises the question: “Who will be the Black Panther?” The trailer ends with a person wearing the hero’s costume, but it is not clear who is wearing the outfit.
The trailer was shown at the end of Marvel Studios’ presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, on Saturday night. A group of traditional African singers performed a fanfare to announce the panel for the sequel.
Then, Ryan Coogler (the writer/director of “Black Panther”), who directed its original, addressed the audience to discuss the sequel and pay tribute to the series’ former star Chadwick Boseman. Boseman died in August 2020, after a four-year battle with colorectal carcinoma. He portrayed T’Challa.

Coogler said, “It will be hard to follow up on that.” This is the first time I’ve been here in five years. I was in the audience when the first clip from ‘Black Panther 1’ was shown, and right next to me, the late great Chadwick Bossman, our T’Challa, was sitting.
Coogler __ stated that Boseman had been holding the director’s shoulders while watching the first clip. “I swear, I can feel him touching me now,” Coogler revealed more details about the sequel. He said that it “goes to new areas of Wakanda we haven’t been to before, as well new places in Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
Coogler introduced the “Black Panther” actors Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wynter, Danai Gurra, Florence Kasumba, and Winston Duke on the Comic-Con Stage.
Duke described the sequel as a “labor of love” and he was “thrilled to be a member of it, sharing it with you.”
It’s a gift.” Wright added, “As a whole, we have grown so much as a family. It’s amazing to see all of you while remembering our big brother.”
Tenoch Huerta, Dominique Thorne Alex Nivilani Mabel Cadena and Michaela Coel are all newcomers. Huerta portrays Namor, The Submariner a Marvel Comics Character in the film.

Letitia Wright, an actress from Marvel’s Hall H show today, said that Wakanda Forever was a way for her and other members of the cast to honor the legacy Chadwick left behind after his death.
The teaser of Wakanda Forever doesn’t address explicitly what happened to T’Challa during the MCU. However, his absence as well as the recent discovery of a new underwater country has the world and Wakanda on edge.
The teaser introduces a new breed of amphibian humans, including Queen Ramonda, Shuri, and Okoye, all of whom are grieving. One of them is born with winged legs.
The kingdoms of Wakanda, Atlantis, and other Marvel comics have fought many times with disastrous outcomes when the egos of their respective kings clashed.
What’s the story of Wakanda?
In this scene, Namor (Tenoch Huerta), and the other Atlanteans appear to have links with Mayan civilizations. Their entrance seems to cause some sort of conflict between the surface people and them.

Riri (Dominque Throne) and M’Baku, Ayo, and the Dora Milaje are seen preparing for the battle Wakanda is about to face. Judging by the trailer’s mayhem, they’re going to need her help.
