'Black Panther 2' First Trailer Reveals Marvel's Emotional Return to Wakanda and War With Namor
Marvel is bringing fans back to Wakanda in the first trailer for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”‘
The trailer moves between pictures of Wakanda's aquatic settings, futuristic technology, and what looks to be a funeral with throngs of Wakandans clad in white, with a lyrical theme of "We going to be fine"from Kendrick Lamar's"Alright."
"I am Queen of the most powerful country in the world, and my whole family is gone," Ramonda, played by Angela Bassett, proclaims.

The teaser begs the question, "Who will take up the mantle of the Black Panther?" At the conclusion of the trailer, a person in the hero's outfit is visible, although it is unclear who is wearing the costume.
The trailer appeared at the end of Marvel Studios' big presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday evening, preceded by a fanfare for the sequel's panel performed by a troupe of traditional African singers.
After that, writer-director Ryan Coogler, who directed the original "Black Panther," addressed the stage to talk about the sequel and reflect on the loss of the series' former star, Chadwick Boseman. While seeing the initial clip,__ Coogler __ said that Boseman was clutching the director's shoulder. "I swear I can feel his touch on me right now."
Coogler also revealed details about the sequel, stating that "it goes to new areas in Wakanda that we haven't seen before, as well as new places in the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
On the Comic-Con stage, Coogler then introduced "Black Panther" actresses Lupita Nyong'o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, and Winston Duke.
"It's a labor of love," Duke said of the sequel, "and I'm thrilled to be a part of it and share it with you."
"It's a present." "As a family, we've all grown so much, and it feels amazing to see you guys while also remembering big bro," Wright continued.
Michaela Coel, Dominique Thorne, Alex Nivilani, Mabel Cadena, and Tenoch Huerta are newcomers to the series. Huerta will portray Namor, the Submariner, a Marvel Comics character, in the film.

"I'm overjoyed and glad to be here," Huerta said.

"It feels very great watching the drums and dancers," Coel said of the opening musical performance.

Wright told Variety in May that Boseman's death had a big effect on the ensemble, and that the new picture is "an extraordinary homage" to the late actor.
"We honored him by devoting ourselves to the tale he began, the legacy he established with this series," Wright told Variety.
"And we just committed to working hard every day, regardless of the circumstances — and we faced a lot of difficulties, a lot of terrible situations — but we came together as a team, and we put everything into this movie, so I'm happy for you to watch it."
