The trailer moves between pictures of Wakanda's aquatic settings, futuristic technology, and what looks to be a funeral with throngs of Wakandans clad in white, with a lyrical theme of "We going to be fine"from Kendrick Lamar's"Alright."

"I am Queen of the most powerful country in the world, and my whole family is gone," Ramonda, played by Angela Bassett, proclaims.

The teaser begs the question, "Who will take up the mantle of the Black Panther?" At the conclusion of the trailer, a person in the hero's outfit is visible, although it is unclear who is wearing the costume.

The trailer appeared at the end of Marvel Studios' big presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday evening, preceded by a fanfare for the sequel's panel performed by a troupe of traditional African singers.

After that, writer-director Ryan Coogler, who directed the original "Black Panther," addressed the stage to talk about the sequel and reflect on the loss of the series' former star, Chadwick Boseman. Boseman, who portrayed the primary character T'Challa, died in August 2020 after a four-year struggle with colorectal cancer.

"It's going to be difficult to follow that up," Coogler added.

"I haven't been here in five years." I was hanging around there when we showed the initial video from 'Black Panther 1,' and next to me was our T'Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman."

While seeing the initial clip,__ Coogler __ said that Boseman was clutching the director's shoulder. "I swear I can feel his touch on me right now."

Coogler also revealed details about the sequel, stating that "it goes to new areas in Wakanda that we haven't seen before, as well as new places in the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
