Ben Rathbun believes that 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days has harmed his relationship with Mahogany Roca. Ben, 52, went looking for love in Mahogany's inbox at the age of 22 and thought he had found it. Despite the fact that Mahogany never fell in love with Ben, she wished to have a family and children with him.
Their shared faith and these intimate conversations compelled Ben to travel to Peru to meet Mahogany, despite the fact that she hadn't even shown him her true face. Mahogany and Ben broke up during their 90 Day Fiancé finale, as expected. However, Ben revealed in the Tell-All that he and Mahogany reconciled after his second trip to San Bartolo.
Ben was aware that Mahogany was a catfish who used filters on her Instagram and Facebook. He still loaned her $1,000 and believed her when she said she was too shy to do a video call with him. But the tables were turned when Mahogany accused Ben of being "different" and keeping secrets from her about his past.

Despite Ben ignoring Mahogany's red flags, such as her lying about her age or claiming a rented apartment was her actual home, she refused to trust the man. Ben still wanted to experiment with Mahogany because he had visited her without cameras. Mahogany appeared to be afraid of trusting Ben because he wanted their first meeting to be documented on 90 Day Fiancé.
Ben revealed in a lengthy Instagram story defending Mahogany that she was "incredibly wise" not to accept him unconditionally into her life. "She wanted to meet me, and she loved me, but she rightly questioned my intentions when I came with an entire TV show to meet her for the first time," confessed former pastor Ben.
According to Ben, Mahogany didn't want any attention or to become a celebrity as a result of Before the 90 Days season 5.
All Mahogany wanted was to get to know Ben because she has a beautiful heart off camera. "I made this impossible by persuading her to appear on this show," he continued. "Was all of this a mistake?" "It certainly harmed our relationship," Ben eventually admitted.
Ben, on the other hand, believes the show put Mahogany and his bond and love to the test. "So the story continues," Ben wrote, noting that "a lot has happened off-camera" and urging fans to be patient because they haven't seen everything.
Ben mentioned how Mahogany is patient and kind, and how she supported and loved him "despite the public's constant ridicule." He accepted that Mahogany didn't mind Ben's age or the fact that he was "so much older" or had made "many many embarrassing mistakes mistakes" on his journey. Ben hoped that 90 Day Fiancé viewers would see Mahogany's incredible strength, loyalty, and bravery.
Ben and Mahogany
Ben and Mahogany appear to have reconciled, despite the fact that the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell All Finale left them on a cliffhanger. When host Shaun Robinson asked if they were boyfriend and girlfriend, Mahogany said she wanted him to prove himself more. When Kim Menzies chimed in, saying that Ben's visits to Peru were proof enough of his dedication, Ben defended Mahogany by saying their relationship was still young. After the Tell-All, a public sighting of Ben and Mahogany occurred, proving that he went to Peru for the third time and that things did work out between the controversial couple, despite 90 Day Fiancé's alleged best efforts to ruin them.
