The tale of 90 Day Fiancé's Ben Rathbun and Mahogany Roca is becoming more complicated. Fans have accused the pair of being professional actors.
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé accuse Ben Rathbun and Mahogany Roca of being hired actors, yet there are hints that they are a genuine relationship. Ben first encountered Mahogany when she friended him after appreciating his naked modeling images.
Ben, 52, chose to enter the college student's DMs. Before long, God revealed to him that he and Mahogany were destined to be together. On 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Ben from B90 travelled to Peru to meet his future bride, but Mahogany ghosted him for 24 hours. This occurred after Ben overlooked all of Mahogany's warning signals, such as her overly edited photographs and her unwillingness to communicate with him through video conversations, ostensibly due to shyness.
Ben was disappointed when Mahogany continued to ignore him even after he arrived at her hometown of San Bartolo. Mahogany, on the other hand, appeared in a different outfit than in her pictures. She also spoke English with a "nearly American" accent, making Ben appear like a liar when he stated her English was inadequate.
Another problem was Mahogany's mannerisms, which looked out of place, since she talked like a character from a daily soap show. On February 23, a significant discovery was made on Reddit by u/torterra trainer95. The TLC fan was on a vacation in Lima and chance to run with Ben in a mall on the last day of their trip.
They first assumed Ben was alone, but they soon saw B90's Ben and Mahogany strolling hand in hand in the mall. They were having a terrific time together while shopping. The fan approached Ben, who told them not to "say anything about them being together," despite agreeing to a selfie.
Mahogany, on the other hand, was "pretty uptight" and offered the fan a fist bump when they attempted to shake her hand. The whole strange event convinced the fan that Mahogany's claim to be an actor was false.
Because there were no cameras around, the fan assumed Ben and Mahogany "seemed to be a relationship." They didn't need to be pretending to be in a relationship in that scenario. Regardless, the dinner scene between Ben and Mahogany seemed strange and artificial, and most fans feel it was a "performance" for the cameras.
Fans have speculated that Ben and Mahogany of B90 met prior and were already in a full-fledged relationship when they were forced to appear as though they were meeting for the first time. In that situation, Ben may have suspected Mahogany was genuine, and the filtered photographs increased to the shock factor of their tale, as both appeared to be involved in a catfish scam in order to appear on TV.
Mahogany changing the script by alleging Ben catfished her was extremely astounding, considering he had previously assumed Mahogany was a Nigerian guy deceiving him. Mahogany also said that she didn't have emotions for Ben and wanted some time to process their 90 Day Fiancé relationship, despite the fact that he had previously shown interest in having children with her.
However, Ben from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days began to doubt Mahogany's past during episode 11 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days when she led him to an apartment that was plainly not hers when Ben wanted to see her mother and father. It is possible that Ben proceeded to fulfill God's destiny by saying, "Vamos a Bailar" to Mahogany as they boarded the train together, despite the lies, deception, and what seems to be cheesy acting on his part.
