According to divorce documents acquired exclusively by InTouchWeekly, Mark, 39, and Key, 35, married on October 25, 2021.
Mark filed the divorce papers in Orange County, California on December 15, 2021, but recorded the date of their divorce as December 9 — less than two months after they married.
During their brief marriage, they had no minor children and no community assets or obligations. Both Mark and Key waived their rights to spousal or partner assistance from the other. Both Mark and Key were living in California at the time of the filing. On June 17, 2022, their divorce was formalized.
After each of them erased or archived all images of each other from their separate Instagram sites in 2022, the pair ignited divorce rumors. The couple appeared to be in love as of October 2021, and Key even posted a lovely selfie with Mark shot on a trip to Big Bear. She disclosed at the time that she was stationed in Mark's hometown of Huntington Beach.
However, the California native and the Argentina native appear to have been living apart since their breakup in December. Mark is still stationed in Huntington Beach, according to his social media activity, whereas all of Key's social media posts since February have been geotagged in Miami.
On season one of the Discovery+ offshoot Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, Mark and Key made their 90 Day Fiancé franchise debut. They said in their introduction that they originally met nine years ago in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
Mark was working in a hostel at the time, and she was staying as a guest. Following a wild night of dancing, they hit it off and had a two-week romance before Key returned to Argentina, and Key informed Mark that she would be checking herself into an outpatient rehab facility for substance misuse after a years-long struggle with ketamine addiction.
He relocated from Panama to Argentina to help her heal. Unfortunately, they had problems because of the language barrier, as Mark did not know Spanish and Key did not speak English, and there was also tension between them because they lived with her family.
After six months of dating, they broke up, and Mark returned to the United States. Key contacted Mark eleven months before they began filming season one in 2021, and they
Mark exclaimed in his confessional, "We picked up just where we left off."
On the episode, they followed Mark's travel to Panama to see Key as they renewed their romance. Their future appeared uncertain because Key was insistent about not moving to California and Mark was adamant about staying in Panama, but by the season finale, Key had chosen to make the enormous step to the United States to give their love a try.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that they lived happily ever after.
