Deavan Clegg, alumnus of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way, revealed last month her son’s condition. Deavan has now taken full custody of Taeyang after two years of disinterest from his biological father. She clarifies what Jihoon Lee is aware of his estranged son’s 3-year-old health battle.
Deavan Clgg and Jihoon Le recorded a fake final episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way over two years ago. The incident is true. Her stated reasons for leaving South Korea during pandemic outbreak were not valid. Fans had many questions. The terrifying truth was revealed later that year.
Deavan was awarded full custody of Taeyang, now 3 years old, by the court two year later. Taeyang was the main focus of the court’s decision, which had multiple reasons. Jihoon was the fundamental reason, but he didn’t want to be Taeyang’s father.
Deavan just told her this when she received the diagnosis of Taeyang’s recent illness. She took her son, who was in preschool, to the doctor on numerous occasions and even to the emergency room. Each time, medical personnel tried to address the basic symptoms.
She finally had an answer. The timing couldn’t be better. Taeyang has B-cell acute leukemia. This type of cancer is deadly without treatment. It can kill within months or even weeks.
Taeyang currently undergoes life-saving, but painful, therapies like chemotherapy. Deavan set up a goFundMe to help Taeyang pay for his medical bills. Taeyang’s grandmother, Elicia, actually started the GoFundMe to help with his medical bills.
People had some questions, mainly because of how Deavan’s character was unfairly portrayed in the edit. Several people wanted to know if Deavan had told Jihoon of Taeyang’s diagnosis or treatment. They may have believed, naively that no parent would ignore their child’s cancer.
Her Instagram Story continued by saying : “And has been aware for a while.” Her Instagram Story continued by saying: “And has known for a long time.” Deavan again shared:”We told them how they can help and he could video call at a set time.”
Deavan continued, “This is the only time he has reached out to me in nearly two years.” She revealed that since telling him about her, he had not contacted her again. Jihoon has not asked for a call to be scheduled, nor asked about Taeyang.
Although Taeyang is said to have a good prognosis, we will continue our prayers for this family. Taeyang deserves love and support.
