Tv show personality start Chantel Everett from The Family Chantel submitted her answer, and no one was surprised when she accused Pedro of cheating on her during their marriage.
She had something else to say. Unfortunately, information about this divorce may become limited in the near future. Chantel is requesting that the case be sealed because she believes Pedro's safety is at jeopardy.
According to In Touch Weekly, '90 day fiance' Chantel Everett has filed a move to seal her ongoing divorce. She claimed that Pedro Jimeno has been receiving "threats at his workplace."
"And on various social media channels," she added.
Chantel filed these documents in Gwinnett County, Georgia, this week. Her July 12 motion said that these threats "may potentially cause injury."
She stated that he would be harmed "not only in his ability to work, but also in his bodily [and] personal safety."
But … Chantel completely admits that she isn't just thinking about Pedro right now. She stated that both she and Pedro are entitled to have their "case decided" by the court.
That is, "without the weight of public opinion" following them around at every turn, she explained. Chantel stated that she wishes to proceed with her divorce "without fear of damage" to her public life and reputation.
"Both parties have made allegations against each other (in their files)," she added. Chantel wrote that these are allegations “which are unfavorable to each one’s public reputation.”
He accused her of taking six figures from a joint account. He has been accused of cheating and abusing her. "Despite the fact that these charges are typical in divorce procedures," Chantel said.
"The harm to each party's privacy is uniquely enhanced by the electron microscope of modern-day news media," she said.
Pedro was accused of "adultery" in Chantel's July 12 filing. She also accused him of "cruel treatment," including physical domestic assault as well as emotional agony."
Chantel said that the marriage is "irretrievably broken with no possibility of restoration," citing these tragedies.
Some fans of The Family Chantel have noted how much this season, which aired many months ago, predicted the divorce.
Their marital problems, which include terrible charges of abuse, are not the only thing on people's thoughts. What effect does this divorce have on Pedro's legal status?
Pedro Jimeno is an authorized permanent residence. He holds a green card valid for ten years. That makes sense given his and Chantel's five-year marriage. Divorce will have no effect on this.
In fact, bringing Pedro's family — including his famed mother and sister — to the United States is still a possibility. He does, however, have another task to perform, and it is not reconciliation with Chantel.
Pedro will instead have to naturalize and become a complete US citizen before filing his petition.
However, he would not be the first 90 Day Fiance star to become an American citizen.
Alexei Brovarnik famously did just that a few years ago.
It's a long and unfairly arduous procedure.
