Some cast members from the 90 Day Fiance have remained in the spotlight, but other franchise couples are no longer around. Some couples have been re-used in multiple franchise series while others live a quieter life. Many 90-Day Fiance couples have left TLC.
The 90-Day Fiance couples who attract the most attention often risk being overexposed. Mike Youngquist, Natalie Mordovtseva, and their drama were featured in 90 Day Fiance – Happily Ever After. 90 Days: The Single Life. Many people complained that watching the couple’s relationship issues had become tedious and repetitive.
Similarly, some 90-Day Fiance couples attracted public attention when they disappeared from franchise content. It can happen for many reasons. For example, infamous franchise couples may have hid their faces from critics.
Some 90-Day Fiance couples have disappeared from TLC to concentrate on starting families and creating jobs away from reality TV. Some 90-Day Fiance couples are still happily married, but they have been kept out of the spotlight.
1. Chelsea & Yamir

Chelsea and Yamir made their first appearance in Season 2. Yamir Castillo, who was 28 at the time, first appeared in Season 2. He was born in Managua. Chelsea Macek, a female of 25 years old, was the subject. She was originally from Galesburg Illinois.
Chelsea met Yamir while volunteering in Nicaragua. Yamir was part of a Nicaraguan boyband. He moved to the United States to live with Chelsea’s parents. A schism developed as a result between him and the other members of his band. Chelsea’s relationship was a big hit with Chelsea’s family.
Producers in Chicago contacted Yamir after he submitted his demo tape. Yamir is contacted by some Chicago music producers in response to his Demo tape. He travels to Chicago to meet with music producers. Producers believe that he should travel to Chicago to have better prospects.
Chelsea does not like the idea because neither one of them has a job. Her parents will also house them for free in Galesburg. Chelsea was Yamir’s wife in his debut music video released in the United States.
The video was entitled “Party Love”. Chelsea is now an elementary school teacher. Chelsea and Yamir divorced in 2017. Yamir is currently living in Chicago and will be focusing on his musical career as of 2020.
Why Yamir and Chelsea broke up in 90 Day Fiance
Castillo left Nicaragua and broke up with Myla Vox to move to Illinois with Macek. This put a strain on their relationship (via InTouch Weekly). It became clear that the pop singer’s options in the small Illinois suburb were very limited.
Macek, according to Screen Rant reports, refused to allow Castillo to move to Chicago when he received positive feedback from producers on the sample tapes that he had sent. Castillo moved to Chicago to further his singing career. However, the distance was too great.
After her divorce from Yamir, Chelsea achieved personal success.
People Magazine reports that Macek, since his divorce, has revealed himself as bisexual, and most recently pansexual. Castillo knew about Macek’s homosexuality before their divorce, but Macek says it wasn’t the reason for their split.
Macek has been able to explore her sexuality after the separation. She moved to Colorado Springs where she had a relationship with Erin, and married Daniel Colombo Verni recently (via Screen Rant, Instagram).
2. Larry and Jenny Passariello

Larry and Jenny Passariello, 90 Day Fiance franchise stars, have left the spotlight of TLC to lead a quiet life. The couple met in _ Before the 90 Days Season 1 of 90 Day Fiance and are now happily wed.
Larry and Jenny had a genuine and kind relationship, and they lacked some of the drama that made other couples franchise regulars.
The couple appeared on 90 Day Fiance Self-Quarantined indicating they are still happily together, even though they remain one of the franchise’s low-key couples.
3. Mark Shoemaker and Nikki Shoemaker

Mark and Nikki Shoemaker, another 90 Day Fiance Season 3 couple have disappeared from the show. They left the spotlight, however, for very different reasons. Mark and Nikki married in a way that surprised the viewers because Mark was already 58 years old when Nikki came to America with him.
The couple sued TLC after receiving a lot of negative feedback from fans. Mark and Nikki dropped their lawsuit quickly and disappeared from the public eye. The viewers were worried for many years until Mark filed for divorce in March 2022. The divorce is not formalized and the couple remains incredibly secretive.
4. Olulowo Shodipe & Narkyia Lathan

The 90 Day Fiance Season 4 Olulowo and Narkyia had the shortest roles. The dynamic franchise couple Anfisa Arhipchenko, Jorge Nava, and the popular Chantel Everett-Peter Jimeno were far superior to them.
It was no surprise to the viewers that they did not become franchise regulars, after missing out on season Tell-All. It is amazing that Olulowo, despite lying about his location and whether the mother of his child was still alive, continued to live with Narkyia.
Olulowo married Narkyia and they began their life together in America despite his deception. Narkyia gave birth to their child and has announced to her fans a massive weight loss. The couple’s marriage appears to have benefited from their decision to abandon the 90-Day Fiance franchise.
5. Josh and Aika Batterson

Aika and Josh Batterson, 90 Day Fiance Season 5’s duo, were also overshadowed in their season by other more dramatic and compelling couples. Josh and Aika Batterson left the spotlight when they revealed their relationship.
Molly Hopkins and franchise couple David & Annie Toborowsky continued in the franchise. Aika wanted to reverse his vasectomy so he could have children with Aika. Aika and Josh got married and remained together despite their differences. Aika has yet to become a mother despite her desire.
6. Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margarita Cohen

Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook, the iconic 90-Day Fiance divas, are still on the show, just like Mark and Nikki.
Leida is seen by many viewers as the main antagonist of the franchise. After Leida ejected Eric’s teenage daughter Tasha, and Eric supported Leida’s decision, many fans turned against them.
Eric and Leida claimed that they received a torrent of abusive comments including death threats. Eric and Leida had to deal with a marital problem after Leida was alleged to have threatened suicide. Eric and Leida lead a quiet and private life because of personal issues and the hostility from franchise fans.
7. Benjamin Taylor and Akinyi Obala
Benjamin Taylor and Akinyi Oba are two more couples from Before the 90 Days who quietly left the franchise to develop a private, satisfying relationship. The 90-Day Fiance couple originally delayed their wedding because of the COVID-19 outbreak and other marital problems.
Ben and Akinyi are a couple who have just recently got married. Akinyi has become a software and Web developer, as well as a graphic designer. Ben seems to be thrilled to be Akinyi’s spouse.

They went back to the United States, where they had a second child. Josh is currently completing his residency, while Aleksandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.
